Introducing ScanSnap iX2400 Image Scanner,
Delivering Simple Usability and the Fastest Scanning Speed in Its Class*
Scan, save and share at the touch of a button
On Thursday, November 13, Japan time, PFU Limited (President and CEO: Eiji Hirahara) (hereinafter “PFU”) proudly announces the launch of the new ScanSnap iX2400 image scanner, a USB-connected model and the latest addition to the widely acclaimed ScanSnap Series, offering simplicity and trusted performance.
The iX2400 is a high-performance scanner designed for cost-conscious small business owners, freelancers, and home office users who demand speed, simplicity, and reliability, without the hassle of complex settings or network connectivity issues. This model offers the same basic scanning performance as the flagship iX2500 model, but with a simpler user interface, making it an ideal solution for customers who prefer a more straightforward experience.
Equipped with PFU’s next-generation SoC, “iiGA,” the iX2400 achieves the fastest scanning speed in its class—45 pages per minute (A4, duplex, color, 300 dpi)—making it quick and easy to digitize contracts, receipts, and more. Additionally, despite its compact body, the maximum number of documents that can be loaded at one time has increased to a staggering 100 sheets, which means a capacity comparable to that of a business-grade scanner. Also, developed with commercial-grade paper feeding and transport technology, the iX2400 ensures reliable paper handling and protects important documents from damage through features such as an ultrasonic sensor, precision brake roller, and automatic skew detection.
It features a single physical button, offering sleek simplicity and intuitive operation. Simply by connecting the iX2400 to your PC or Mac via USB, users can scan with the push of one button. Scanned data can be instantly used, saved, or shared through intuitive all-in-one software, ScanSnap Home (for PC), and cloud integrations.
The scanner’s design is identical to that of the iX2500, which has generated excitement among customers and features a compact footprint. Its elegant aesthetic, inspired by soft shadows and clean lines, allows it to blend seamlessly into a variety of environments.
The iX2400 features a simple yet high-performance design that enhances office work comfort.
*Based on research by KEYPOINT INTELLIGENCE. The fastest scanning speed among scanners categorized as Personal. As of August 2025.

Features
1. The next-generation System on a Chip provides Best-in-Class performance
The iX2400 is equipped with the next-generation SoC “iiGA”, which is the same chip installed in PFU’s flagship model, the iX2500. The new SoC realizes high-speed scanning performance and energy efficiency.
Together with the SoC, the iX2400 implements many features that significantly contribute to higher efficiency, making it a powerful business companion that delivers outstanding cost performance.
High-speed scanning at 45 pages per minute (A4 color, double-sided, 300dpi)
The iX2400 delivers the fastest scanning speed in its class of personal scanners.
Load up to 100 sheets at once
Up to 100 A4 sheets can be loaded at a time. Even when the receipt guide is attached, up to 50 A4 sheets can be loaded. The number has been significantly increased from the previous model.
Easily attachable and detachable Receipt Guide
The Receipt Guide ensures smooth scanning of multiple receipts that tend to curl. Users can close the cover without removing the guide, and can also load various paper sizes at the same time.
Energy efficient
Power consumption during operation is approximately 13W (23% less than previous models), and power consumption when turned off is less than 0.1W, which is significantly lower than previous models.
2. Incredibly stress-free realized through simplicity
Equipped with a single button and no LCD, users can instantly start scanning with the touch of a button. Moreover, the intuitive software, ScanSnap Home (for PC), guides users to stress-free data management—no more hassle in utilizing the gadget. Instead, users can focus on their business itself, utilizing scanned data, without worrying about how to use the gadget.
3. Reliably protects users’ document from damange
Utilizing highly reliable paper feeding and transport technology developed for commercial scanners, the iX2400 scans a wide range of paper, including thin paper that is prone to scanning failure. The iX2400 protects users’ valuable documents with high accuracy.
- Ultrasonic Sensor and high-quality Brake Roller for stable feed prevent multi-feed
- Skew detection automatically stops scanning before any misfed documents are damaged, protecting your important originals.
Stops feeding if skew is detected at the leading edge.
4. Optimal scans of photos, posters, and other images with improved image quality
The image quality of scanned data is better than ever. Thanks to the PFU Clear Image Capture technology adopted from our business scanners, color shift is curtailed, and the appearance of moire (an irregular striped pattern) is reduced. This enables optimal scanning of images with subtle colors and contrast.
5. Seamlessly utilize scanned data and link with various digital services
The comprehensive software ScanSnap Home (for PC) makes the integration with apps and cloud services smoother. Using the ScanSnap Home (for PC), users can choose where to save or send the scanned data after scanning and even drag and drop to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Notion, and iCloud.(1) You can also save to whichever cloud services are linked with ScanSnap Cloud.(1)(2)
Additionally, starting December 9, 2025, ScanSnap Home will support ARM-based Windows PCs for the iX2400, enabling users to enjoy a seamless and comfortable scanning experience with ScanSnap, even on Windows devices powered by ARM architecture.
6. Contributes to Environmental Sustainability
Environmentally Friendly Products and Packaging Materials
With a view toward a sustainable future, the iX2400 not only pursues excellent performance and ease of use, but also strives to reduce environmental impact.
The scanner body is made from 25% recycled plastic materials.(3) The packaging materials are also environmentally conscious, free of virgin plastics derived from fossil resources.(4)
